GROW Compact Action Network July 2021

Many thanks to those who attended our virtual Compact Action Network meeting on Friday 30 July, 2021. It was great to hear from some of our GROW partners about how we can work towards equitable opportunities for all of our communities. If you missed the meeting, please take some time to check out their edited videos:

  • Lyn Morgan, Chief Executive Officer of Northern Futures, explained how their graduates learn both self development and industry skills. Signatories can get involved in many ways, by supporting the delivery of courses, offering work experience or positions. A new opportunity is to become a mentor, to give insights into the world of work. Watch Lyn telling the Northern Futures story here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoNM9VSzPPg
  • Elly Hanlon, General Manager – People, Finance & Administration of Hanlon Industries, demonstrated how a local business can get involved in GROW, through simple actions like using local social enterprises and by choosing to employ inclusively – her key message was every little action will make a difference. Watch Elly leading by example here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtHDRdfLuHg.
  • Ken Massari, College Assistant Principal of Student Enrichment and Community Partnerships, Northern Bay P-12 College discussed how GROW signatories can offer work experience for students in VCAL and VET, in partnership with the Geelong Region LLEN’s Structured Workplace Learning Program.
